About us

The principal person is Steve Ostridge (MIFPO, AIFSM, NAPFIS).  Steve formed Fire Marque shortly after the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 was brought in to force.


Steve spent 17 years in the Royal Navy before joining the Fire Brigade (now the Fire & Rescue Service) in 1987.  After building almost 20 years of fire-related experience Steve decided to take on a new challenge and set up Fire Marque.


Fire Marque has a wealth of fire safety experience, from many years serving in the Fire and Rescue Service in both operational and fire safety enforcement roles. Fire Marque can utilise that experience to your benefit and provide you with a cost effective, professional, independent and impartial service, conducted by fire risk assessors and trainers who are members of the Fire Industry Associaiton, Institute of Fire Prevention Officers,  Institute of Fire Safety Managers and the Nationwide Association of Passive Fire Installers and Specifiers.

Fire Marque can help you in a number of ways to comply with the Fire Safety Order. We can conduct a full fire risk assessment of your premises, review your current fire risk assessment, conduct a pre-occupation inspection of any premises or provide fire safety training which can include live fire extinguisher training.
